  1. Looks beautiful Brenda!! I'm jealous because I can't put a tree up this year. We are in the middle of selling out house and no reason to get it all out to have to put it back up. We will celebrate Christmas at my daughter's house this year. Maybe I'm not jealous.. haha I won't have to clean up for everyone to come over to our house. haha Have a great day!!!

  2. Brenda, I love all the peppermint and red and white look to your tree! And your container is perfect for it. I bought a Christmas Tree Collar for our tree that was on a fantastic sale, BUT our tree was already up and decorated and I was informed we'll wait and use it next year. Some day we'll eventually get a smaller tree in place of our big one.

  3. Love the candy cane tree. Cute idea. I have some small trees, wonder if I could find some cute candy cane ornaments? Have you had your ornaments a while?
    Thanks for the inspiration!

  4. Do you read the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum books? I just picked up #23 today. If you'd like it I can send it to you after my sister & I have read it.

  5. I love the peppermint tree! Now you just need a little diffuser with some peppermint essential oil to use during the day (could keep you up at night) to go with the theme!

  6. Brenda that tree is so pretty! It has just the right amount of decorations. I also love seeing the labels on the items in your pantry, the checked curtains, and all of the colored glass outside. You have given yourself many pleasant spots to gaze upon! I've never had a themed tree, and maybe I will give it a try. It looks fun. Thanks for the inspiration.

  7. This is so much fun, I really love that great tub you have your tree in! I like your one-a-day decorating plan, it makes sure you get it done!

  8. I love it, Brenda! I love a color coordinated tree (which mine is NOT) and I think yours fits in perfectly in that spot.

  9. OK, that is the cutest Christmas tree! I love it. Putting in the beverage holder really added to the ambiance.

  10. Your tree is fun with candy canes, Brenda. If Andrew comes over I bet he will love that. 🙂

  11. Love the red and white decorations! Nothing speaks Christmas, to me, like red and white and stripes! I love the tub in red that holds the tree. Last year, we had a new kitten, and needed a stand for our artificial tree that would hold up to her climbing up the stem of the tree! We poked around in our garage, and came up with using our patio table umbrella stand made of (very) heavy cast iron. The hole where you would put the umbrella was perfect for the tree, and no more tipping over! Maybe I'll get my decorating mojo one of these days……

  12. Your tree is so adorable! I just took down my fall decorations today, so hope to start on the Christmas things soon.Blessings, Carolyn

  13. I love it, Brenda. Nothing says Christmas more than a red and white candy cane covered tree!

  14. Ahhhhh soooooo cute!! Love it!! I like that you can also enjoy it from outside – my tree is the same, although our weather has definitely not been conducive for me to sit out on my deck!

  15. Love your Candy Cane tree and its red container. I do several theme trees each year, but i feel myself slowing down as I grow older (77).I haven't even started this year so don't know how much I will get done. Your blog is one of my favorites.

  16. that tree is the meaning of CHEERFUL! I love it.
I think you've got your Christmas mojo back! 😀 XO♥

  17. It is so cute Brenda and I love the big tub! I just put up my tree but it needs decorations which I will do later. No theme for me, just my memories as I bring out ornaments from over the years! I think a nice cup of coffee and a cookie while I decorate will be fun!
