Decorating & Pupsters

Now that I have the blue table back, I'm glad it didn't sell. I do really like it. And with the chair opposite, there is no problem about space.
I'm doing laundry. Washed two dog beds. Changed my sheets and am washing the ones I took off. It's one of those cleaning type of days.

The sun is warm and bright outside my front door. Crazy warm weather.

Abi giving me the evil eye. Or so it seems. And Charlie is eating. Oh, here he comes.

I've been making the couch my main seat of late, so I put up the other set of doggy steps.

Wherever I am is where they are. And there's plenty of room for all three of us here.

I plan to stay home this weekend. Maybe sit outside if it's warm, which it is supposed to be.

I now go out each day and see what plant has nudged up past the earth and is revealing itself. So far mostly hostas. And succulents.

I always love it when spring arrives and I am greeted each day by new growth on my patio.

  1. We had 80 degrees the other day; yesterday we nearly froze and saw a few snow flurries. Crazy weather in Virginia! I'm pumped about my container garden and having lot of fun planning and preparing. April 15 is our cut-off date for frost here, and I want to be ready. Didn't have a garden last year so this year I'm going to make up for it.

  5. Glad you got the blue table back, it suits you! I am waiting for spring to arrive here in Reno, it has been pretty cold early mornings, but the past few days have seen it get up into the low 50's.

  9. I like that blue table in your living room space. Crazy how warm it is there already. We got a dusting of snow overnight here in IL. I meant to tell you, I like your new profile photo. You have such kind eyes.

  10. The blue table looks good in your current living room arrangement. Seeing all of the washboards caused me to look around for the one I have, that used to be my grandma's. I found it hidden behind some other things in a cabinet, and I plan to hang it in the utility room. Our weather is 50 degrees but sunny today, and I'm going to go out to help my husband de-clutter the garage. Hope you and the pups have a relaxing weekend.

  13. Spring???? I wish!! It's 15 degrees as a high today, with the wind chill sub zero for sure, and dropping down below zero tonight....with the wind chill, they say -20!!! I had to go out and run errands but believe me I did NOT want to! Hopefully this is just March coming in like a lion, and this will be the end of the frigid temps. Fingers crossed. Little Charlie looks so cute, what a great photo!!

  15. "Wherever I am is where they are" I had to laugh at this / it is the same here with my two dogs!

Well I am glad that you are glad that the table is back home :) Our weather here has turned again...it was 17 degrees this morning! Which actually is what it SHOULD be :)

  16. Last summer,a friend of ours was redoing his driveway, and had to dig up and remove some of his hostas. Asked if I wanted some, and Yes,I love hostas. Out of maybe 15 clumps, I was able to separate them into 40 smaller clumps. They all survived the replanting, but it was later in the season, so I can't wait to see how they wintered over, and hopefully will get fuller in size. Here in WI, they are still snow covered, so it will be awhile. Oh,and your blue table... "PERFECT" !!!

  18. Hey, Brenda, so glad the table is working out for you! I love all your washboards. I have just one that I think must have been my grandmother's. I really need to hang it up in my laundry room. Wonder where it is???

Your ankle must be a bit better for you to be doing so much cleaning. I hope it is, for sure. And the pups are so darn cute. My big Labradoodle, Tavi, always likes to be right where I am, too. Sometimes I think he's a little (or a lot!) co-dependent!

We have been having crazy weather here in Michigan, too. And those warm days sprinkled in between cold snaps are such a tease to those of us who can't wait for Spring. That would be me, for sure! I wonder what kind of an unusual Summer we will have this year.
