Shades Of Light

To be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.”

“The darkness is like a black canvas punctured by a blunt knife,
With beams of light peeking through.”

Forget your perfect offering.
There is a crack in everything,
That’s how the light gets in.”
Forget your perfect offering.
There is a crack in everything,
That’s how the light gets in.”

Just beautiful Brenda!
Lovely images, inspiring words, Brenda. Wish I cold see your apartment in its entireity so I could get a better sense of how all the interesting little vignettes and other decor are in relation to each other. Draw us a diagram, okay?!! Just my obsession; I always have to have a map of everything in my mind!
Love your bottles and the play of light off and through pieces has always fascinated me. I thought of that song, "I Saw The Light", too. lol
Have a wonderful night…xo Diana
ps- LOVE your new profile picture. Great picture of you!
Just love this, Brenda. I have a post somewhere on my blog with that last quote ; I loved it so much.
That quote about the mirror and reflecting…reminds me of an early morning walk the other day seeing reflections in the water puddles after a rain and thinking that everything in Nature is a message to us from God…and what do these reflections mean 🙂 XO
Makes me think of the Hank Williams song "I saw the light." He sings "I saw the light, I saw the light, no more darkness, no more night." The photos and quotes are inspiring. Thanks.
I think you may like bottles! Lots of them and are so pretty and love the quotes, especially Leonard Cohen. I too love your new photo. I meant to tell you that last time but forgot. You look quite relaxed and content. God Bless. Marilyn
Great quotes and beautiful pictures.
Beautiful quotes. I love to be in the Light, and I hope I radiate light. Thanks for inspiring. And the pictures are lovely.
Love your collections and the quotes you've chosen….so beautiful! Love and hugs!
Gorgeous images accompanied by the truest of words, my friend.
What a lovely, encouraging post! I love all the colors of the bottles and the way you display them. Thank you.
Good morning, Brenda 🙂
Beautiful words and pictures, my friend.
As far as gardening… I'm about to go out into my yard and get it ready for Spring. There's a lot of cleanup to do out there. I can't wait for flowers to appear once again 🙂
xo,

I think Leonard Cohen said it best! By the way, like your new photo-like your new hair style.
Have a great day
