Questions Answered 6/17/17

I'm answering questions I've gotten lately...

Question: Mary wants to know if I use my camera in manual or automatic mode.
Answer: Automatic. Looks good enough for me. Easier than learning manual settings!

Question: Do I have pet insurance?
Answer: I tried to get it when the pupsters were pups, but was turned down. Abi had a heart condition and asthma, and Charlie had a few minor problems of his own.

Question: Do I have dental insurance?
Answer: No.

Question: What kind of camera do I use?
Answer: It is a Canon EOS Digital camera that is about 8-9 years old now.

Question: What kind of lens do I use on my camera?
Answer: I either use the one that came with the camera. Or, with outdoor photos like flowers and nature, I use a zoom lens.

Question: Why don't I quilt anymore?
Answer: I had a car accident in 1998. I gripped the steering wheel as hard as I could because I veered off the highway (a semi ran me off the road) at about 70 miles per hour onto very uneven ground that led to a lake. And because I was driving a SUV, I was trying not to roll.

I subsequently had to have various hand surgeries. One on each wrist, and what is called a Burton's sling on my right thumb. I also had to have my neck partially fused.

After that I had so much arthritis in my hand that I could no longer quilt.

  3. Hi Brenda, I enjoy your blog so much!! I love making a cup of tea and sit and read all the questions and answers!!! :) I am a wildlife artist and I get much of photo material online ( and much I have to pay the royalty) to get high quality photos as references....I would really love to get a inexpensive camera to take my own photos...I love the 35mm looks on film. But I was suggested to use a digital....what are your thoughts on this? Also I am going to be downsizing from a huge 3000 sq ft house to 1000+ sq ft...and I still want to live big and enjoy all my things, but, alas' space :( I love a coastal living type decor' but hate clutter...but again I love warmth and cozy!!! I sound confused lol lol lol I hope your day is filled with happiness and joy!!! DEB :)

  5. Sorry Brenda, I was away visiting my brother and family for a week so no posting. Love the squirrel picture you took. I didn't realize you had a neck fusion. My back is fused from L3-S1. And my dear sweet daughter refers to my incision as my butt zipper!

I always enjoy reading your comments and having you join the conversation here at Cozy Little House. It is like having a gathering of friends sitting in my cozy apartment. Enjoying coffee and dessert, chatting and having a good time.

Please be kind with your comments. We all need kindness in this world. That's not to say you can't state your opinion! Everyone should be able to state their own opinion in a kind and thoughtful manner.

I appreciate each and every one of you!
