New CBS Fall Show S.W.A.T.

Very few TV shows hold my interest. Like the books I prefer to read, I like shows that are fast moving and get your heart racing.

One of my favorite shows used to be Criminal Minds. I think I probably watched it since its inception.

But then Thomas Gibson got fired, and Shemar Moore left. And I just couldn't watch it anymore without my two favorite characters.

So the other day I was online and I happened to think of Derek Morgan aka Shemar Moore, and I googled him to see what he was up to.

I was happy to see that he will be starring in a show that's being rekindled from the seventies, S.W.A.T., later in the fall season.

The 47 year old star is definitely easy on the eyes, I think. And he has a demeanor of fierceness in his roles that captivates me.

Here's the premise:

Shemar Moore plays a locally born and raised S.W.A.T. sergeant who runs a specialized tactical unit in LA.

Torn between loyalty to where he grew up and his allegiance to those he works with, Moore plays former Marine Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson.

With their new leader, this team bravely protect their community and save lives.

S.W.A.T. Series Premiere Thursday, Nov. 2 10/9c.

  1. I love me some Shemar! Thanks for posting about this new show!

  2. I like him A LOT!! Hope the new series is worthy of his talent. I had not heard about it yet. xo Diana

  3. My daughters are both Shemar Moore fans, as am I. The youngest keeps tabs on new shows and told me about it. I don't usually watch "regular" TV, i.e. with commercials, but for this I would make an exception. Gotta love a man who takes good care of his mama.

  4. Hunky...hunky...hunky!! ❤ Shemar! Thanks for the heads up...I had not heard about this new show. Can't wait. Thanks for making my day...woot woot !!

  5. Wanted to tell you how much I like your header. The mason jar with flowers is just perfect as is the font and clean spacing. So many shows are the same and there isn't much I watch anymore.I do like the show with Jennifer Lopez and think the male lead in that is one heck of an actor. His name escapes me.

  6. I love Shemar and as you say Brenda he is definitely 'easy on the eye'!
Not sure if I will watch this show, can't say at first glance if it is my thing. I did like Criminal Minds.
Watching Queen of the South and Ray Donovan.

  7. I remember him when he was on the Young and Restless soap and how he left a big gap in the show when he left. While I detest soaps, I have watched this one since the first day it aired and I guess you could say I have become addicted to it. I was so happy to see that he had moved on to bigger and better when I discovered him on Criminal Minds. And yes, when they remove key players the show just doesn't seem the same. I think he has an electrifying screen presence so I will be looking forward to this new show. Thank you for pointing this out!

  8. Hey, I remember that show from the 70's!!!

  9. Dayum! That's the prettiest thing I've ever looked at over coffee in the morning!

  10. I will definitely watch this as shemar is as u say easy on the eye, great actor. DIDN'T know Gibson got fired.

  11. Oh Yeah!!! Stopped watching Criminal Minds, mainly cuz he left. Me thinks I'll be watching the new SWAT. Thank you Brenda.

  12. Love Shemar Moore and I really like David Boreanaz but I don't like that they are doing shows that have war, violence etc at their core. I hate all these 'fight the bad guys' shows and movies. I think they just set us up for all this violence we are having right now.
