As you can see above, I added two of my vintage washboards to the wall above the couch. I just thought they belonged there.
A photo of Charlie on the couch on his bed. He does loves his bed.
I think the pupsters will probably have to go to the groomer soon. They’re starting to look a little rough around the edges.
I added a few things to this small strip of wall that is in my living room.
have older ones here on the coffee table in a basket.
I’m kind of surprised at the minimal amount of color I now have in my apartment living room. Maybe just a phase I’m in.
I brought in these house plants from the patio because it was close to freezing weather over the weekend.
I found the Pier 1 pumpkin spice oil in a drawer the other day. I’ll have to find something to add this seasonal scent to.
Hard to believe that October is all but over! The holidays are right around the corner now.
Your front room is cozy and warm. Love the candles in that vintage cupcake tin.
Hi Brenda, loved what you did with your living room. I love your puppy Charlie. He's so cute. I also live in a small apartment. I will try to get some pictures taken. I love to rearrange my furniture. Any ideas? Have a Blessed day Brenda. Looking forward to hearing from you again. Hugs………. I say that to all my friends.
Your living room looks great! My blood pressure spiked when I read "the holidays are right around the corner now…" I'm excited for them but… eek! (So much to do! 🙂 Thanks for the heads up though… it is true, Halloween ends, and it's cue the Christmas music!
I loved how you displayed your vintage washboards Brenda i HAVE A few in my laundry room that is leaned against the wall!
CALM, SERENE, AND INVITING IS WHAT I SEE IN LIVING ROOM AREA. YOU CAN RELAX AND FOCUS INWARDLY. I LOVE THE WASHBOARD AND SIGNS ABOVE THE SOFA.
IF YOU WANT COLOR AND A FEAST FOR YOUR EYES, JUST LOOK AT THAT DELIGHTFUL RED TRUCK VIGNETTE, THE COLORFUL DISHES ON THE BLUE CABINET, AND YOUR OTHER COLORFUL PIECES OF FURNITURE ELSEWHERE IN YOUR APARTMENT.
ENJOY YOUR DAY!
SNUGGLES TO THE PUPSTERS!
Where did you put your beautiful rose canvases that you got from Wayfair? I noticed in your previous post that the one that hung over your table in the kitchen is gone. Did you find another place for them? They were so pretty!
Isn't it amazing how one can just change a few little things and the room feels so different. I love the washboards, and your more pared down look. And Charlie is so cute, I like the pupsters with more fur. Maybe for winter they could go a bit longer without a haircut?
oh be still my heart.
that picture of little Charlie. such a little love! ♥
Oh, it feels so good to change the decor and give the room a brand new look! I love those signs paired up with the cute washboards. ?
First thing that struck me was the neutral colors, and they are relaxing. I have a problem changing anything anymore. It seems I find something I like and I can be content with it for years. I don't know if it is that I'm so set in my ways, or that I'm just a creature of habit. Guess they are one in the same.
I like your changes. That wall art with the red truck is perfect in your house.
I'm enjoying your neutrals! I get color overload sometimes and need a break. It can be calming I think. Anyway it looks great and the red truck painting is a pop of red and oh so cute!!
We all need a change from time to time. You'll be adding color back a little at a time! I don't buy new magazine much any more. They sure aren't as good as they used to be. To much advertising and sure don't have the great ideas that they used to have. Guess they are just to "modern" country for me. Have a great day.
Looks really good Brenda. Little Charlie is too adorable.
Happy New Week.
Kris
I love your living room wall, Brenda…very pretty! Sometimes I like to have calm colors, too…and then I switch it up and start throwing in colors. It's definitely listening to our moods…and it's fun!
The portrait of Charlie is lovely!
I always struggle with how to fill the large wall over the couch. Yours looks great!! That red truck area with your new painting is one of my fav's. I like the muffin tin full of candles, too. Your little Charlie is a cutie.
Looks great! I love the washboards on the wall because they seem architectural. I have Southern Living magazines I can mail to you if you'd like them. 🙂
