I’ve found ten appetizers that could be a great addition to your upcoming Christmas gathering.
Caprese Christmas Wreath:
This Caprese Christmas Wreath was created by the blogger at Cafe Delites.
She wrote: “This appetizer was made with juicy grape tomatoes, creamy fresh mozzarella, and fresh basil leaves that are dressed with olive oil and Italian herbs.”
The blogger at Citrus & Delicious says that this savory cheese ball contains minimal ingredients and is impressive on a holiday platter.
“Two types of cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, minced garlic and shredded Parmesan cheese make up the base of your snowman. Add tiny bits of chopped black olive for the face and buttons and a tiny baby carrot stick for a fully festive holiday snowman cheese ball,” she wrote.
Parmesan Cheddar Basil Bites:
The blogger at Life Love Liz says that these Parmesan Cheddar Basil Bites are crisp outside but soft and tender inside.
She wrote on her post: “They aren’t a true cracker, but they are a perfect addition to a charcuterie board, for serving at wine-tastings, and anywhere else you might serve up party appetizers.
“Using a star cookie cutter they are pretty fabulous to serve up on New Years Eve and they pair wonderfully with champagne.”
Sausage & Cheese Christmas Tree Appetizer:
The blogger behind Honey & Lime wrote: “This has got to be one of my favorite Christmas appetizer recipes. It’s super easy and affordable, too.
“To make this holiday sausage and cheese tray, you’ll need a few ingredients that are easy to find. Sausage, your favorite cheese and crackers, and cherry tomatoes, to name a few.
“Be sure to make the rows at the bottom of the tree the widest and slightly bring them into a more narrow form as you go up to get that nice triangular Christmas tree look,” she wrote on her post.
Christmas Peppermint Fluff Dip:
“All you need is one 7 oz. container of marshmallow fluff, ½ of an 8 oz. container of whipped topping, 1 tbsp. of Coffeemate Peppermint Mocha Creamer, and some crushed peppermints,” the blogger at Mom 4 Real wrote.
“Mix the first three ingredients, then top with crushed peppermint. That’s it! Instant holiday yumminess! I like to serve mine with mini vanilla cookies, but I bet they would be fabulous on a snickerdoodle too!”
Pine Cone Cheese Ball Appetizer:
The blogger behind Living Locurto wrote: “A pine cone cheese ball is so easy to make. It’s the perfect party food for the holiday season. Toasted almonds add richness to the flavor of this cheese ball making for an amazing savory treat! It’s a beautiful addition to a holiday menu.”
Christmas Tree Cheese Board:
The blogger at Home Is Where The Boat Is wrote: “The original idea for this cheese board came from Kraft Canada.”
Appetizer Tree:
The blogger at Redhead Can Decorate wrote: “Appetizer Trees are a great conversation piece. They take up very little space, they look beautiful, and your guests will think you’re a genius.”
Christmas Veggie Tray Snowman:
“You can really use whatever vegetables you want for the platter around your snowman. I went with sugar snap peas, carrots, and cherry tomatoes because it required NO chopping or slicing,” wrote the blogger at Eating Richly.
Christmas Tree Spinach Dip Bread Sticks:
“I wanted to make a festive, but still easy, holiday snack you could take to any party. So I came up with these Christmas tree spinach dip bread sticks,” wrote the blogger at It’s Always Autumn.
If you’re planning to celebrate the day with relatives or friends, you might consider making one of these unique appetizers to take along as your contribution to the host or hostess.
Enjoy and Merry Christmas!
i Love these! I could make many of these in personal sized servings as little seasonal meals for myself! And no cooking!
I think I will make the fruit and cheese.
I love them all! Especially the snowman and the pinecone cheese balls.
Hmmm.. well I THOUGHT I had the menu done… but….
Yummy! I think I have every one of those pinned also. I keep saying I'm going to make one, but it never happens. Oh well. Maybe this year! ?
I printed the recipe for parmesan cheddar basil bites, they look terrific and might just have to be tried out this weekend!!
Oh yum, and so cute, too! Happy Holidays, Brenda!
These are all so fun. We do appetizers on Christmas Eve and I am in charge of bringing a cheese ball of some sort so guess what I am doing that cute snowman. Thanks for the great idea. I know it will be a hit. Merry Christmas to you and Abi and Charlie.
xoxo
Kris
