Hi Brenda. Oh, this sounds like a great series and how wonderful you thought it up! I do look at spending money differently since my husband retired.
Love the lamp shade and the little squares quilt. I made a pink and white one when I was a teenager. Don't know where it went!

It is amazing to read all the comments and realize how many people are living on less. Our income has been cut in half and we just bought out first home.

I would love to see someone from the South in your new series too. I am looking forward to all the thrifty tips.

Also, I hate reality TV. My husband and I watch very little TV except for college and pro football.

I live less than two hours from you and go shopping in Tulsa. Would love to meet you some day. Take Care.

This will be very interesting, from what I see on the news things are pretty tough over your way. I think things are not nearly as bad here in New Zealand.I am a professional quilter and I have not noticed any slump in my business at all. Having said that, there are business' that have gone under. I know some quilt stores have closed their doors.

Love the lampshade. I've been using preowned stuff for years Some things I saved from my grandmothers trash when she relocated for the last time are in my house. 20 years later and my relatives want them now.

Love the addition to the lamp...very cute. I am excited about the new series. I am divorced, lost my job about 2 1/2 yrs ago and now at 61 I might as well say 'retired'.
