I now live in what I refer to lovingly as "the little blue house" in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
I'm recently divorced, and the two Yorkies and I, Abigail and Charlie Ross, relocated here in late October 2011. I have been working hard to fix this 1010 square foot house up and make it a home. I feel that I am accomplishing those goals as each day passes.
I have had to leave my beloved gardens. But come spring, I hope to create new ones on this blank slate that is the yard here at the little blue house. Starting over is part of life, and something we should embrace instead of fear. If I've learned nothing else this past year, I've certainly learned that!
I love to refurbish, repurpose, and help make our environment a more pleasant and safe place in which to live. Decorating, crafting and gardening are my passions.
I am most content with a camera in tow, catching shots of nature that are flickering and ever-changing, but captured forever with just a click and a bit of luck.
I shop for the little blue house in junk stores, antique malls, and estate sales. And wherever I can find a sale of vintage or second-hand goods. I must decorate on a budget, and I enjoy passing these frugal ideas on to others.
I'm hoping to open an Etsy shop after the first of the year. It will consist of items I would decorate with here in the little blue house, both handmade and vintage treasures.
I have found serenity here, around my daughters and two grandchildren. I love getting up every day and seeing if I can make the most out of whatever I am handed. Be it lemons or lemonade.
After coffee, of course!

Hello~ I just found your blog today and wanted to read a bit about *you*, so found my way here.
It sounds like you are into a wonderful new chapter in your life and will make the Most of Each New Day. I like your happy thinking!
I will come back to read (and see) about all the things that the Cozy Little Blue House inspires for you.

I really enjoy your blog.
Love the photos and your decorating.
I wonder if there is a way to get way back to your first blog entry. I have been scrolling down to the end of each page and clicking on Older Blogs, and at this rate I will grow old and decrepit before I get to last year. When did you start the blog, anyway?

Hi, I am your newest follower. I thought I had already joined, but being brain dead, I hadn't. I just want to thank you for all the traffic you have sent my way! I have you on my blog roll, so I hope that I can have at least redirected one or two folks your way. If there's something I could do for you in blogland let me know. I did a book give away with Kim at Savvy Southern Style that seemed to be popular. OK, now I'm just rambling, I need another cup of coffee.

Oh, shoot. I have been agonizing over what to call my etsy vintage shop, and thought I hit pay dirt when I came up with Cozy Little House Vintage yesterday.
When my late husband and I moved into the house we are in, everyone who saw it kept saying, "This is such a cozy little house," so that is what we named it.
Well, back to the drawing board for me!
